Shawl-collar dress, Burda08/2011 #125.
I’ve been dreaming about this dress for some time now but I couldn’t get the right fabric. Then I bought this wool/poly mix online very cheaply. I was drawn to this pattern by two elements – short sleeves together with a shawl collar, I love such combination and I often wear t-shirts with big shawls.
– I cut the skirt from three parts not five, because I didn’t want to complicate the pattern using this loosely woven fabric
– I skipped the pockets, they just didn’t seem right for this model for me, but I may add pockets on the skirt front
– I shortened the dress to just below my knees, the tea length cuts my legs in the worst spot possible
