Description

I bought the fabric for the dress on sale for 4.50 € per meter, and did not do what to do with it until I saw this pattern from Angela Kane. I was sooooo happy that she added the videos of how to put the dress together. As a beginner these videos were invaluable. I am particularly proud of the invisible zipper and the fact that I linesd the dress. I had a couple of problems with the fitting since I am learning to sew basically by trial and error and have not take any courses. All an all I am happy with how the dress came out and I even wore yesterday to my office, though I think it is a bit too short….It also fits me better than my maniquin, I have not yet been able to adjust it correctly since I ust got it for my birthday on Saturday….Oh well. I would love to hear comments and ideas as to how to do it better next time.

Material Notes

Strechy Polyester for the dress and satin like polyester for the lining. Grosgrain ribbon for the waist, and bias tape for the collar and armholes.

Difficulty

Intermediate

Hi anlusaro, What a lovely dress. And beautifully lined. Your fabric choices are perfect. Thank you for making up my pattern.

I see you are already an angelakane.com member so I have upgraded you to One Year Full Member – Free for Burda Project.

I hope this will help you easily create more couture garments. Couture is what it is, as you are making garments tailored just for yourself.

Can’t wait to see your next garment.
