This is a little jacket I made using a vintage Vogue pattern for a dress (#3829). I loved the shoulders on the bodice of the dress, but for a jacket, I wanted to add some swing in the back. I also added a cuff panel at the bottom of the sleeves (when I realised they were too short for the look I wanted) and added gorgeous vintage apple green buttons and a fun lining.
I also attempted ‘proper’ button holes (but they only look good from a distance!!).
The fabric is upholstery wool which was left over from the design showroom I worked in! It is foresty green with a little gold in it. It really is quite warm to wear. The lining is a quilting weight cotton print fabric in gorgeous Asian blooms – mustard background.
