Description

This is my first corset ever. I wasn´t able to find a perfect pattern for me so I created my own. I used upper part of Burda corset pattern #110 10/2013 and lower part from corset pattern #113 01/2014. I modyfied the lines a bit and the size to “37” as I am just in the middle between 36 and 38. The corset is fully lined, the boning is in each seam. I used eyelets instead of the zipper so it is more comfortable. I also inserted old bra cups between the satin and the lining so it is invisible. I used a bit tougher polyester satin with NO elastane. The pattern instructions recommend stretch fabric, but I think that tougher fabric makes a better shape. The sewing itself was not as difficult as I expected, it was only very time consuming.

Material Notes

polyester satin, polyester lining, interfacing, boning, eyelets

Difficulty

Intermediate

So sexy. Love the dark blue. Sounds like it took a bit of skill to make. Looks great with your jeans.

Many thanks Jocelyn. The most difficult thing was just to merge the two patterns. The rest was in fact quite easy.
