This dress was made from the new Simplicity retro pattern.
At the store the fabric just screamed: ‘buy me, buy me!’, so I had to buy it. And isn’t it gorgeous? There’s only this dress which guarantees me I won’t see any other woman in this, so I have really something unique. And that’s exactly my style! Burdastyle!
The pattern is easy to understand and use. It took me about six hours to make this dress.
The newspaper fabric is cotton and I’ve lined it with salmon colored satin lining fabric.

@ Lilo, what a good find! Never thought it would be sold on the internet as well. I just hope nobody in my near environment will notice that, so I’ll still be the only one with such fabric ;)

so why doesn’t “this link” appear underlined or something? Once again, the link is
http://www.giraffamodestoffen.nl/
klick on “katoen” (=cotton). The site is in Dutch, sorry.

Thank you!
Well, if you ever go to Amsterdam, I got it there from the Albert Cuyp market. It was at a stall with only quilt fabrics so normally I wouldn’t even consider looking there, but somehow this fabric grabbed my eye! And you can see why ;) I get a lot of comments on the street from people who like it.

I love it! Like you, I’d make this with the A-line skirt rather than the straight. The print is chock full of awesomeness. Seconding Mirela…where’d you get the fabric?!
