What a great idea, I made clothes for my friends new baby girl and she outgrew them so fast her mum was a little sad because she liked them so much, next time I will make a small size and then a larger one :) These are both super cute :)

These are so lovely – I really like the combination of yellow & white. So refreshing!
I am wanting to make something like this for a friend’s daughter – but I have no idea re sizing. .. do you think the Vivienne would be suitable for a one year old? Sorry – childless & clueless . . !!!

I am pretty clueless at child sizing as well (unfortunately). When I was looking at pattern sizes online, they seemed to be about half an inch difference between sizes on average. Then again, the Vivienne dress is so loose and comfy you could probably get away with making it the normal size and “belting” it off with a sash to adjust the waist. And the directions show you how to adjust the shoulder button placement to make it fit a younger child. From a mom’s point of view- it’s easy to put on and take off, and easy to get to the diapers to change them. So I say go for it! :)
