New Year’s Resolution – sew more clothes from ‘real’ fabric this year, not just muslins! Here is my first attempt. I found the pattern at ValueVillage – copyright 1969, styles do come back if you wait long enough. Made a muslin and really liked the fit. Deleted the open circle from the final. Fully lined, seams are simply pinked (serger might be in my future). I eased the hem allowance with hand basting and then used green ribbon as seam binding. I will be proud to wear this to work!
Can’t remember where I bought the fabric but it was inexpensive ($2/metre or so). Lining $0.99/metre FabricLand. Zipper. Green ribbon for seam binding.
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
