On a gorgeous summers day last year, I was strolling along when I found a box of free clothing on the sidewalk. Most of the stuff was odd, or claimed by my friends, but I came across a loverly silk “hippie” skirt. Sadly, the skirt was much too long and big for me, so I shortened it and altered it until it was a dress. I was left with a bunch of fabric from the bottom that I didn’t want to waste. Suddenly, about two hours before I needed to be at a New Years Eve 2010 party, I decided to cut it all up and make a dress. Using Maryy’s Hot Hot Heat bodice design, I created my first strapless dress ever.
