I decided to whip up a dress for New Years and it actually turned out pretty well.
It’s an absolute mish mash of 3 patterns, it’s made up from Kwik Sew 3877 Skirt, Butterick Retro 60’ B5748 top and the collar is a Style 3081 pattern it’s actually a dressing gown. I had made the collar for another dress, though it looked rubbish when I put it on so turned out to be a god send really because it looks great on this dress.
Then I added the bow as a late adition.
The dress took about 3 hours started at about 4 and I was out the door for an 8pm dinner reservation. Bam! I love sewing he he..
I had bought this lace a while ago. Lace is about $19-$26 p/m at Spotlight and that’s all I’ve got where I live so I had a look at the Curtain lace and at $6p/m it was a bit more in my price range seeing as I’m not a pro. Just yet!
