A great way to wrap up 2011 is to spend time and money on a dress that ends up being too short to wear! :( I accidentally cut the hem to something that’s more tunic-length, which is bad when the fabric’s as lightweight as this shiny polyester. I’m posting it on Burda because I want your honest opinion on whether it’s worth saving, by adding length to it or turning it into a blouse. Or is the shiny print just too much?

Looks fabulous! I love the neckline – why can’t you leave it just like that and wear it over jeans? I love it.

You should definetly keep it! Although you cannot wear it as a dress, it is great as a tunic :)

I think this is too short to wear as a dress but really gorgeous with leggings or such like. It really fits you well and I am sure you will wear it often in warmer weather. I know it is disappointing when you make a mistake but I always tell myself " how can I turn this into a positive?". I have made heaps of mistakes over the years and sometimes it has been for the best and every time I have learnt from it.

I agree, it’s cute, fits well, in picture doesn’t look too shiny

Hmm. Honestly, I’m really having a hard time seeing what’s wrong with it as it is. Too short to wear as a dress yes, but it seems to accent your waist nicely and presents a very balanced look from hip to bust. Really, it doesn’t seem so bad.
