I had this beautiful brocade material sitting in my stash and decided to make a party dress with it. So, I used Burdastyle’s 1/2014 pattern #124. I omitted the back lace up detail and the leather bottom hem as well as the leather stand up collar. I couldn’t find fake leather that would go with the fabric and the collar seemed a bit stifling. Having a lace up back meant having to enlist someone to help me get in and out of it…too much trouble.
This was a fun project, easy to do. I really like the fit and flair fit of it and it turned out nicer than I imagined.
