This is the dress I made for New Year celebration this year (or technically last year). It is made from a small piece of scrap fabric (the dotted fabric) and black satin. It is difficult to tell from the pictures, but the dotted fabric is actually see-through thin organza, so I had my make the entire bust part in two layers.
The dress is based on the ‘contour bust‘ dress pattern by miasu. I made a few alteration though: I omitted the bias tape/piping from the pattern but made a nice edge by making the top part double. I added a waist band to the pattern and added shirring to the back for a better fit.

I love this! The idea of adding the colored circles to the hem at places makes the look. Well done! The fit is perfect, too.
