As you know I generally love strong clear colours, but in the last months I dicovered the pastel nuances for me, especially one of them: mint.
One month ago I found this wonderful Swiss cotton jacquard in exactly my dream colour AND with polka dots – irresistible!
I had the pattern since a while in my head and the fabric was as made for it.
Of course I made the pattern myself again: I transformed the darts of the basic pattern into princess seams. The center part of the upper body and the skirt are cut as one piece. Pockets cannot be missing of course.
The only thing which made me problems was the neckline: I formed it as deep konvexly rounded V, but it stood away from the breast. So I put underneath an elastic band, which solved the problem but brought another one: now there is a fold on the shoulder.
Well, I know this is not perfect, but I don´t want to change it anymore… I love the dress as it is :-) not even my hubby remarked this bug – and he is a strong critic. Anyway, I learned again something… and I have to learn still more!
30 select jacket and coat patterns are now marked down to $3.99.
