I made these trousers and blouse this weekend. The print of the blouse cheered me up in these cold winter days! I used burdastyle 10/2011 hounstooth bellbottoms with some alterations. You can read all about it at my blog

Love the whole outfit! The pants are great – I really want to try a pair now, but I have so many other things to sew first!

Thanks so much! I know how you feel, these were on my to do list for 2 months before they got done! Lol! You should make a pair though, they were really fun to sew!

I love your blouse and pants and you look wonderful in them. For such a busy Mum, you amaze me. Finding time for sewing is obviously so important for you and I am sure your children think you are amazing too.

Thank you!!! Sewing is very important to me, you have to find time for yourself and show your children that you are a person independent of being a mother. That being said, I sew most of the time with my 2 yr old on my lap! LOL!!!! It is hard to find the time but my secret is that I wake up an hour before the kids and use that time to sew, or I wait until they are asleep and then sew, but always I give myself a 1 hour limit and you would be amazed at what you can do in an hour!
