Net Curtain Skirt

Added May 8, 2009

by zozowahine

Brighton, United...

My mum gave me the remnants of her net curtains last time I visited her and I had a vision! I used a basic A-line skirt pattern I developed a year or so ago, and cut out the motifs and appliqued them on by machine. I made the facings from contrast gingham to continue the cafe interior theme!
More details on my blog:
Cheers for looking!

Material Notes

Red cotton blend drill, net curtain scraps

I love, love, love it !!! That’s such a unique skirt and the combination of the lacy motifs with that strict geometrical composition is just great! (As is the colour combination). Congratulations!

This is sooooo pretty! I have curtain panels like these too and have thought about almost the same thing, so it’s nice to see a variation. Very pretty with the red :)
