This was another experiment with neckties: I took six of them apart, sewed them together, shirred them, lined them with a luxurious satin, and ended up with a really interesting wrap. The end result is very light and warm (I only use silk ties for these projects) and very unusual.
I’ll be wearing this with a carcoal 1950s style coat which is lovely but needs a little colour and texture to liven it up.
A bunch of neckties, seam ripper, shirring elastic, sewing machine, satin lining.
