Description

Bought a bunch of gent’s ties in a charity shop to experiment with feathering and shirring. This deconstructed necktie has been given a new life as a neckpiece to cheer up dull outfits. Because it is silk it is very light and quite warm for such a small piece of clothing!

Would look great with semi-precious beads sewn on – in fact, talk about my next project…

Material Notes

Silk tie, shirring elastic, thread, machine.

I love what you did with this tie… I wouldn’t have known that’s what it originally was…which is the trick of the remake! Great job and I’m loving your ideas for the next one too
