I like to coordinate our clothes when we go out, and I could not find a tie that would match the dress I wanted to wear so I decided to make a tie. I bought a yard of 60” fabric (I really only needed a half of that) and ripped a part an old tie to use for my pattern. I reused the lining and stabilizer from the old tie.
