I made this dress for my friends beautiful fairytale wedding this week. I wanted to wear a classic, timeless style. I modified a burda pattern for the top and cut a long strip of fabric for the skirt and put 3" box pleats in it. It was the perfect colour for an October wedding. It was a lovely easy dress to wear and I think I’m going to make another in Jacquard for the christmas season!

Gorgeous dress! Can I ask what Burda pattern you used for the bodice?

Hi Janene. The pattern I modified for the top was a vintage butterick 3451. I drew my own pattern and gave it princess seams so I can use it again.
PS- Love the silk pin up pants, I must try those sometime!
