Navy swimming trunks.
I actually made these last summer, as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, but we never got around to take pictures. In Sweden it is hard to get these kind of swimming trunks, it’s all just those big surf shorts everywhere. I made a basic trouser block based on my boyfriends measurements. The hard thing is the lining/casing since mens swimming trunks requires support in a hole different way than women’s swimsuits do. I think that a basic boxer pattern could be useful and then this page is a gold mine: http://underwear.sew-ing.com/.
After I made these I made my own navy swimsuit, The little she-sailor, with the dark thought in mind to force my boyfriend to become that matching kind of odd couple!
swimwear-material such as lycra or viscose and then some elastic.
