Here is a simple jersey dress I made for my growing tummy. I wanted to make a few of these comfortable casual dresses as maternity clothes seem to be quite expensive and I don’t really have much time to shop for them.
I altered a free BWOF pattern by taking out the front and back gathers under the yoke and replacing them with a single pleat. I also altered the shape of the tunic dress – it was more like a balloon bubble shape which made me look massive! I also dropped the armhole and added bias binding to the sleeves. An easy make with only 5 pattern pieces!

Oooh, you’re pregnant, congratulations! Hope you’re feeling well and everything. Also, it’s a lovely dress, and the wrap dress too. Take care! /Karin

Fantastic, I really like your version of this tunic dress. I never considered using this pattern because of the “balloon” effect. But now I might use it (although I am not pregnant) because I really like the neckline with the yoke.

Yes, I remember how expensive maternity clothes were and they were always made of hideous, cheap fabrics. You look gorgeous in this dress and the other maternity clothes you have made :)

It looks very nice. My sis is pregnant and wants me to sew her maternity clothes for the same reasons you listed! She would like this dress. Also, you look lovely:)
