So for the past month I’ve been making clothing inspired by different historical time periods, so I researched China from 1911-1945 (during the time of the Republic) and studied the evolution of the qipao in that period for a week or so. I used (roughly) this pattern:
I made a really simple black slip to go under it, too. I love how this turned out. I think it looks so cute.
