Description

I always loved capes. They are just so elegant and feminine, and a very cute piece to add some glam to our fall and winter days. So when I found a sewing pattern for a cape that was suitable for beginners, I couldn’t resist to give it a try. Details on The petite Cat blog

The pattern I used is from the Burda Style magazine (09/2015 edition).

Did you alter the CF at all? It looks like yours does not gape as much as in the pattern pics. Nice.

It looks great! You did a good job and I think you shouldn’t restrict yourself to beginner friendly stuff even if you’re a beginner, it’s easier than you think and you can make all the other amazing stuff out there :)

Thanks a lot Maria! :) I’m now learning how to alter patterns and that makes everything so much better! Since I’m short it was hard to get the clothes to fit me well, but that’s changing and that gives extra motivation to go that extra mile. ;)
