Description

This is a fantastic pattern by Burda.I love fitted blazers for casual wear but most high street ones seem to have tiny shoulders (one thing I can’t really alter for)

This pattern is meant to be done with lightweight spring-y fabrics and is half lined. I had a go with = wool blends and lined it fully – so had to change a few bits and the order of construction. It’s not terribly complicated but just be aware if you are about to purchase the pattern.

You should also note, in-seam double welt pockets didn’t really work with my bulky fabric so pockets turned a bit wonky. If you do it with jersey backed batiste (as reco’d by Burda) they will probably look amazing.

Material Notes

Heavy-weight navy wool blend
Grey cotton twill
Navy Satin lining
non-woven fusible interfacing

I’ve heard of that show but never seen it actually (don’t have TV – watch things online only). Is it like Great British Bake Off?

Thank you Mary for the encouraging words. Wonky pockets or not, it is already very loved. x
