Burda Style For people who sew
Description
There were a lot of firsts with these shorts : first overlocked seams, first buttoned pants, first project with cryptic instructions, first patch pockets! I followed the tutorial Casey provides on her wonderful blog for those, and I can’t be happier with them.
These shorts are part of a matching gingham wardrobe I made for the Summer Essentials Sew Along. You can see it here !

could you tell us exactly where to find the tutorial? I went to the link and it showed how to do patch pockets. By the way those shorts look awesome!

Aluckmann and Zickzack, I think gingham is more or less the perfect fabric for summer shorts. If you choose the Ruby pattern, with Eunnyjang, we’ll look like chorus girls in matching uniforms!

These are great – I love them! I’ve seen the pattern made up a few times, but after seeing yours, I really want to make them up. Aren’t Casey’s tutorials amazing? I just used her scalloped collar tutorial to modify my Pendrell blouse.
