Long Beach, Cali...
I was encouraged to try dying by the hand dying tutorial from a while back. http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/technique-tuesdays-hand-dying-fabric.
I decided to dye a pair of faded jeans and I threw a sweat stained white shirt into the dye pot at the last minute with the jeans. Because the pot was already so full I couldn’t push the shirt all the way down and air bubbles caused uneven areas. I kind of like the soft, casual result.
The jeans turned out fantastic. I wish I’d taken a before picture of them to show the difference more clearly
white cotton shirt, denim pants, navy RIT dye
