Balloon dress at last. Bodice fabric has been shirred using waves pattern and then at random (meander shirring) Refer Art of manipulation fabric for more details on Shirring.
Skirt fabric is sari blouse material gifted to me. it was perfect for the puffy effect desired for balloon dresses.
I can see this dress being flaunted as such in summer and worn with tee shirt underneath and along with leggings during winter. I personally like this the best among the Collection of 6 dresses i have made for Navarathri 2010 till now.
Entire Navarathri 2010 collection is available here for viewing for those interested. Thanks
