This dress was made using Vogue 1158, a nice pretty recent Tracy Reese pattern.
The bodice is lined, and in my version has piping around the neckline and sleeves which I pick stitched in place. I had to line the skirt too as my fabric was quite sheer. The belt is recommended to be sewn in place but I don’t think this is necessary…. and I think that probably the shoulder pads (which I’ve left out for now) would also be optional.
I’m really happy with how it’s turned out – you can read about it at UpSewLate
Ribbon-striped cotton + cotton voile lining from Tessuti, + piping from my stash.
