Some people find Japanese Summer weather hard to bear with, since it’s humid and muggy. When I feel the humidity in the air and I can no longer put my hair down, it for some reason gets my mind thinking “Nautical.” Around this time of year I start wanting to make items with ships and sea animals and what not. Last year, I made several “sailor” themed items. I really like working around a certain theme, and I decided to do the same this year.
I took out the gray and white pin stripes fabric, and made this sun dress. I love adding piping in contrasting color, I think it instantly adds edge to a simple garment:)
