Whole cloth dress, cut on the bias, made of 50/50 cotton bamboo. Triangles were added at bottom to make full length. All natural dyed from wild flowers, rusted washers, blackberries(straps only), English breakfast tea and some discharge done with Ritz powdered color remover to give the impression of glitz. For this competition I wanted to make something simple, elegant, and interesting but with a twist. I have been making scarf dresses for a while now and chose to turn my squares of gathered cloth on angle and start the dress from a corner. I applied cotton elastic in the back waist and under the breast for a better fit. Photographed by Dale Rempert, collage by me, model Sara. Please vote at GEN ART
