My boyfriend tells me that I should complete my projects before I start on new ones, and I guess this dress is the perfect example of why that’s some good advice. I think I started making this dress back in May, but only just this past weekend got around to finishing it! Despicable, right?
Anyway, I made this dress following Grainline’s Tiny Pocket Dress tutorial which explains how to turn her Tiny Pocket Tank into a dress with a button placket. My own alterations to the pattern included lowering the neckline in the back and adding a drawstring casing and drawstring around the waist. The buttons and the fabric were both purchased secondhand.
Yes, it would have been a wonderful summer dress, but luckily it works well with a sweater and tights for fall.

Ooh, I have that pattern! Really want to make this now. I live in Florida and a dress like this with a jacket or cardi and tights and boots would be perfect all winter long. Yours is so cute! Nice choice of fabric as well :)
