Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This dress was inspired by the Contour Bust Dress and Tutorial. I have been wanting to try the contour bust pattern for quite some time since there have been so many great looking creations from other members who have tried it. The pattern was easy to follow and it resulted in a nice shape that fits rather well. I added a ruffled halter strap (it looks great with a cardigan because the ruffle peaks out over the top) and a skirt that has exposed pleats at the top. The fabric was bought second hand at the White Elephant Sale in Oakland so it was a very inexpensive project. This dress isn’t fitting for the current weather in California so I guess I’ll have to save it in my closet until summer comes around.

It looks lovely and sweet! Suits you very well. I would match the lines of the stripes though on the top part. Very cute dress!
