Burda Style For people who sew
Description
A while back I saw a dress online that I really liked, so last weekend I finally got around to creating my own version. My dress is made from white cotton leftovers from my step mom’s fabric stash and has red accents. The chevron stripes are red gingham ribbon and the buttons down the back are red plastic (which remind me of red hot candy, yum). The skirt has box pleats and I added a gathered lining to give it some fullness. The dress also has two large pockets. I haven’t been sewing much clothing lately, so it felt great to make up a pattern and put the whole thing together.
Material Notes
Cotton, red gingham ribbon, and 8 little red buttons.
