As a contributor for The BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook I made a dress variation, and since the book came out I’ve gotten quite a few requests for a tutorial. This dress was made to go along with the tutorial on my blog. My dress variation includes a rounded collar, buttons up the front, pleated skirt, and a side zipper closure. I wanted to use green cotton from my stash, but didn’t have enough so I added in the white cotton and ended up with another color blocked dress. Doesn’t the color combination look like slices of green apple?
If you’d like to see the full tutorial, head on over to my blog nattyjanesews.blogspot.com and click on the tutorials tab at the top of the page.
