Burda Style For people who sew

I saw an amazing pair of shorts online recently and was inspired to make my own pair. I started with BurdaStyle’s Ruby shorts pattern as a base. I altered the front quite a bit, added pockets, used an invisible zip on the side, and added a buttoned flap on the waistband to cover the top of the zipper. The materials were all purchased secondhand, excluding the invisible zipper. The buttons are actually made from coins! These shorts are perfect to wear to my summer job at the pool!

First of all, really cute shorts! I like the details, I will def try to make them. Second, I couldn’t help to comment about the great vintage Mexican coins! Now question, where did you get them??!! I would love to have some for myself. I hope you read this :)

Thanks for the kind words! I bought the coin buttons at a rummage sale, so sadly I’m not sure where you could find similar ones.
