I’m so excited about how great this dress turned out! It fits like a very comfortable glove and the circle skirt is so much fun to move and spin around in.
The dress is made from gray lace with gray cotton for lining. For the bodice I turned to my trusty Macaron from Colette Patterns, but altered the back yoke by splitting it open and adding a vintage glass button for closure at the neckline. The sleeves are also from the Macaron dress, except I extended them to 3/4 length. The lace I used had a scalloped edge, so I cut the sleeves with the scallops for the hem. The skirt is a simple self drafted 3/4 circle skirt.
I made this dress to wear on my birthday, but as you can tell from my previous post, I couldn’t wait and ended up wearing it to the BurdaStyle Book launch party last night. Like I said before, I’m just so excited about it!
