More blue gingham! I still have tons of this stuff, so I used the JJ Blouse pattern to make my very own feminine western style shirt. To give it the western look i added triangular shapes to the front and back and used pearl snaps instead of buttons. The sleeves end with elastic for a fuller look rather than the cuffs included in the pattern. I recently bought the book “Embroidered Effects” from Sublime Stitching and decided this shirt would be the perfect place to begin using embroidery. The front has a morning glory ( my favorite flower!) on each triangle, and the back has a vine with daisies (all embroidery patterns from Sublime Stitching, so much fun!). I recently wore this shirt at a music festival and had a great time dressing like a cowgirl.
Blue gingham, embroidery floss, and pearl front snaps.

Love the western wear triangle details. I wouldn’t have thought to add these to JJ, but it really works well.

The shorts and the shirt are adorable. By the strawberry earrings and the labor day weekend that just happened I am guessing you went to the Starwberry Music Festival. That outfit is great for it.

Bingo! I wore it for the Chickwagon revue in one of the camps. Definitely a fun time.
