Here is my second try at the sailor shorts. The practice round proved to be very helpful as I knew precisely what I was doing the second time around. They are made from light brown corduroy fabric that I bought at the White Elephant Sale in Oakland. I used navy blue snaps for closure which was probably quite a bit easier than making that many buttonholes. These shorts are pretty fun to wear, although they do make me feel like I should be lounging on a yacht.
Corduroy and blue snaps (11 of them! whoa!)

These high waisted Ruby shorts make your legs look 10 feet long. They look fantastic. Love the sailor look.
