I recently saw an interesting tank top online and decided to try making a similar pattern myself. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far. Tons of pleats and buttons down the front! I think the front looks a bit too much like a vest and the top of the back doesn’t always lie flat, so I’m going to be making a few adjustments before the next round. Since this was for practice, I was lazy with the edges and used a lot of baby hems. We are having very warm spring weather in California right now which is giving me tons of inspiration to make tanks and dresses!
Cotton and buttons.

Great summer top! I really like the pleats. They add such a great interest to clothing that would ordinarily be kind of plain.
I featured this top on my blog :)

Love it. I also wish you would publish the pattern. I have a couple of daughters that would love a blouse like this.

Thanks for the nice comment!
I haven’t tried adding a pattern before, but I could try doing a tutorial for this one. I used the Lydia pattern as a base for creating my own pattern and could post those steps in a tutorial.
