HI, and thank you for the compliments! As far as making bags I would sart by picking commercial patterns of styles, shapes and sizes that you like best. Practice practice practice, and gift gift gift all of those “almost” perfect creations to adoring friends an family members. After you get the hang of making styles you like from the patterns you can advance into making and designing your OWN unique custom creations. Easy as cake! This bag was a Mccalls pattern I think possibly even in the “So Easy” line. It might be “so Easy” but that bright piping accent really sets it off to a new level!

I want to start making bags and yours are really inspiring. The workmanship looks great and they look like bags that would be used all the time. Any tips?
