Here I have a cape inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Star Wars: Episode VI, and a leather vest some what like the one Caspian wears in the Narnia movie.
For the vest, I used about a yard of faux leather. I didn’t use a pattern, I just measured on myself how long I wanted this to be, how wide that should be, and I think it turned out okay. I was going for the look of the leather vest Prince Caspian wore in narnia, but his was much too complicated, so I left off the studs and just left it simple.
For the cape, i used Simplicity pattern 9887, view D, size small. The fabric is a dark brown light weight sort of wool-ish fabric. For this I was inspired by Prince Caspian’s cape, and Luke Skywalker’s cape from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. I love to put on costumes and pretend I’m my favorite characters, so these are two more additions to the collection! (I made Susan’s horn from the Narnia movies out of Sculpey clay)
