A stash of nappy covers (or diaper soakers) for a friend’s new baby. Made using the fab pattern from Katrina (see credits).
I used a pile of left-over felted wool from knits I felted for another project. I used charity shop finds for this – anything with a high % of wool which isn’t ‘superwash’ will do! So this little baby will have his brand new bum wrapped in cashmere and merino while looking effortlessly stylish. At least, that’s the plan…
Felted jumpers from charity shops.

Hi Flosiepoos! Are you still there? The posts are very old. Burda sent me to you with a question about your tutorial on Dutch knitting tools/pens. I wanted to know if they can be purchased anywhere. Do they have different “hook” sizes like regular crochet hooks? I live in central Colorado,USA and the Internet is my best option for buying supplies. Are the pens available in the UK?
Thanks, S

Thanks!
I simply used the waistbands and wrist cuffs of the felted jumpers to make the waistband and legs. It was a zero-waste use of the jumpers- I use the small cut’offs to fill soft toys and dryer balls with!

Those are adorable! Too bad my kids have all outgrown diapers. (my youngest is 14) I’d whip up a bunch of these… Baby friend is very lucky!

Many thanks for the compliment! I do look forward to giving them to her.
Maybe one to keep on file for when the grandkids arrive instead… Perhaps not straightaway, mind you! ;-)
