I always get an extra burst of creativity from good, vintage-y fabric, and these napkins from William Sonoma were no exception. I had 6 20-inch square napkins and little room for error. I used 3 napkins for the skirt, doing an inverted pleat in the front and gathering the sides and back with a little elastic. An altered drindle pattern and 1 napkin cut in half served as the jumping off point for the top. The scraps made the belt and a back zipper closed the deal. Took just a few hours. I wonder if my mother in law will recognize the old napkins she gifted us several years ago when I wear this dress to Thanksgiving dinner!
