Description
We like our Nadine jacket so much, we wanted to make sure everyone could make it! The striking asymmetric collar is a beautiful frame for one’s face, especially with the horsehair we added for extra body. The jacket’s silhouette suits a variety of body types, but we wanted to take away most of the gathers for a cleaner, more fitted look. Try this jacket in a light wool for your perfect Spring jacket.

Love this jacket…adorable and definitely flattering…I’m assuming you could make it longer – but then it would widen you at the hips, and frankly, who needs that?!?! I must say one thing though, if this model is considered ‘plus’ then the world has really gone bonkers!

i love this. i hate that this model is considered “plus size,” she looks absolutely perfect weight-wise. i would LOVE to have her body!

Hey Everyone! Thanks so much for the comments and compliments! I had lots of fun on the shoot and the jacket is awesome, I absolutely love this jacket and have been known to wear it around the office when I want to feel a little fancy :)

I love this and I bought it but I cannot locate the “How to” describing how you eliminate the ruffled effect, only see info on horsehair, attach shoulder pads and shoulder pads … ?

I really like this jacket. Reminds me of a pattern I just bought for a 3/4 sleeve jacket that I’m going to make in wool hounds tooth. I may just have to make this pattern too!

Love this version ! The fit is really nice, and so is the model :)
Mar 9, 2009, 09.40 PMby juebejue
stunning! the model doesnt look like a plus size at all though :P i didnt like the other jacket so much, because the gathering would make me look like a bubble, but this one definitely will work! I had been looking for a pattern for spring and this would be on my todo list!

Very nice! I like it better this way too… stylish.
Mar 9, 2009, 05.13 PMby reneebeth
Awesome! This version is exactly what I was talking about when I suggested a less showy fabric. It looks so good! (So did the first nadine)…I’m floored. :)

I like this version way better too. And Alden, you look really gorgeous!
Mar 9, 2009, 04.23 PMby kiraph
Ah yes!!! This is soooo much better! Doesn’t scream ‘frumpy’ anymore. Much more stylish. Thank you!!!!!

I really love this! I also prefer it without the gathers, so now that you’ve shown it, I may end up buying the pattern! Great fabric choice, and beautiful pictures Alden!

Yes, I much prefer this Nadine too. But, damn! Something finally in the plus size and it doesn’t match my figure type at all. sob, sob
Mar 9, 2009, 02.17 PMby lunatepetal
I, too, prefer this version and fabric! I think it’s much better fit!

Hi Ladies, This creation is the same as the Nadine but in a different size level. We are at this moment uploading the pattern, but you have to be aware of the fact that you have to follow our how to, that shows you in very simple step how to get rid of the gathering in order to get to this result. Glad you like it! Benedikta
