Description

I self-drafted this pattern – from a basic skirt block you add two knife pleats either side of the CF/CB and incorporate the darts into the upper pleats when you stitch them down.
The waistband has a central notch, and I topstitched the pleats and waistband with heavyweight thread. To give it a nautical touch, I stitched striped grosgrain ribbon along the bottom.
The fabric is a fine linen which presses well into pleats, and swings jauntily when you walk!
