Here comes my fifth project: a version of Franzi. It’s only slightly modified – I decided not to fold the neckline.

I like this vest very much…. Something about sizes…At the moment I sewing “Hikaru” jacket,my size is 34 and I cut it!When I had stitched together all,it was twice of my size!I had to modify, now I’m hoping the best….

Hi Morzel – don’t ask about size, I’m having constant troubles to adjust anything I make to fit me. I measured myself – result: size 38, I didn’t believe it and cut out 40. When I had stitched together all the parts of the outer fabric the vest did not only not overlap at the front – there even was a 3 cm gap!! The side seams were somewhere on my back! So I panicked, undid all the seams and tried to gain as much width as possible… Of course it was too wide afterwards but since I want to be able to wear a warmer shirt under it I left it that way…………..
@Beanie: Yes indeed, I lengthened the part below the waist line for about 5 cm because I’m 1,8 m tall and wanted the vest to overlap the waist of my skirt/trousers.

Hi Squirrellypoo, the third photo shows a detail of the back side – I decided against the latch but wanted to have an eyecatcher on the back side. I guess I’ll add a photo of the back side. Thanks for pointing this out to me!

ooh, I just made Franzi, too! I can’t place your 3rd photo, though – is that on the back or something?
