I loved the Susan pattrn form the start and finally got around to use it!
I altered the ruffles, hem and added a sas at the waist for a more feminine fit. I spent about 8-10 hours sewing, because I handstitched all the yoke lining pieces and finished all other seams with french seams. I TRULY and dearly love this blouse. So much, actually, that I’ll make a dress like this soon!
One of the few things I made for myself :) Now with pictures!
1,25 m chiffon, 0,4 m medium/heavy linen and the same amount for the floral patterned cotton lining
3 different kinds of ivory nut buttons

This is lovely, I bought the Susan pattern ages ago with the idea of making a dress from it.. you have inspired me to get back to that project!

You did a fabulous job!! I LOVE your blouse – it’s nostalgic, romantic, and looks like it would be very comfortable, too. The choice of buttons works perfectly, and the longer length was a great idea. Thanks for posting it :-)

Your blouse is STUNNING! I love the look of this blouse lengthened, and what you did with the ruffles really adds a lot of style. The fabric combinations are eye-catching, even though the blouse has a “neutral” feel to it. I never would have given the original Susan blouse a second glance. You made me look! If you can, I’d love to see a picture of you wearing it!
