I modified the Nayantara’s quick party skirt. (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/nayantara’s-quick-party-skirt). Instead of 42" for skirt width, i used roughly, 32 inches. I also made the skirt 30" instead of 25". Used pleats instead of gathering (8 on back, 8 on front). I used a 3 inch waist band width instead of two. and obviously made it high waisted. If i did it again, i would use a longer zipper, for a high waisted skirt, 7" is too short.
Plaid flannel. 2 x 32"x30" for skirt. plus 6"x(waist band). I used 2 yards, perfect for including my pockets!
