I saw this a little while ago and had to try out my own version of it.
I don’t have a printer so I had to eye this one. I’m very happy with the out come.
Only things added were the waistband and the ruffle at the bottom.
I’m hoping to wear this before it gets to cold out.
p.s. ignore the green zipper it was the only one I had left lol
you can’t see it when I’m wearing it because its hidden though :P
cute flower pattern cotton and a crazy green zipper

Just love it and that fabric is super cute! Hope you get to wear it before it gets too cold, if not, you have something to look forward to in the spring though! I just started on my first no pattern (draping on dressform) dress, it is a bit nerve wrecking. I of course had to decide on a double sewn design too (tight top much like yours, of a slinky travel knit, with an empire waist), never tried that before… Oh well, need it this weekend, so I’ll get a few busy nights…

Thank you :) It looks like I might get a warm break here before they call for minus weather and maybe even snow!
I remember when I was learning how to properly drap on a dressform (before I would always just hold it up to me and cut randomly….although I still do that like I did with this dress lol ) It is a little nerve wrecking but I have to say I find designs like something with an empire waist are easier do make. It helps when you first drap in broadcloth to test before going ahead with the garment. I hope the dress works out and if your looking for any advice feel free to ask :)
I hope to see you posting as well :P

Thank you very much :)
I find that draping and eyeing fabric works out better for me then following patterns.
