I was inspired by all the other internet ladies doing their own rendition of the Downton Abbey dress. The striped cotton-ish material was really hard to find and I had to wait a few weeks to actually get the dress going. I used a Simplicity Pattern as the base structure, and tried to do some sort of decorative pleat arrangement for the top. All in all a LOT of hard work, but the best fitted bit I’ve ever done…
Sort of stripey cotton blend. Was in the men’s shirt department…
